2017 Mazda CX-5 Starts Production, Japanese On-Sale Date Set for February 2017

28 November 2016, the Ujina No. 2 plant near Mazda’s headquarters in Hiroshima started production of the all-new CX-5. To go on sale in Japan in February 2017, the second iteration of the compact crossover will then roll out in the rest of the world.
Launched in 2012 and manufactured until recently, the original CX-5 sold almost 1.6 million units during its lifecycle. Now accounting for nearly 25 percent of the automaker’s annual volume, the CX-5 story is far from over.

For 2017, Mazda gifted the all-new CX-5 with a bolder take on the Kodo - Soul of Motion design language. To some, the front fascia may resemble Red from Angry Birds a bit too much. To others, the eye-catching face of the CX-5 is a selling point because, well, the CX-5 looks the part. What I like most about the new kid on the block from a design standpoint is the outline of the side windows, which has that certain airy, station wagon feel to it.

The rear end is pretty much the CX-9 xeroxed at 75 percent, while the cabin shares many of its bits and bobs with the CX-9 as well. Minus the interior door panels, air vents, and upper part of the dashboard, everything else is pretty much a carbon copy of what the CX-9 boasts with. From the shape of the gear lever to the HVAC controls, instrument panel, steering wheel, and infotainment system included, it’s pretty hard to separate the two crossovers.

As an evolution of the original CX-5, the 2017 Mazda CX-5 promises more of everything, including handling dynamics. Thanks to high-strength steel, engineers achieved 15.5 percent higher structural rigidity compared to the first-generation model. G-Vectoring Control is another bonus, albeit that’s more of a safety feature rather than a dynamic enhancer for keen drivers.

In the U.S., the 2017 Mazda CX-5 will be made available with SkyActiv-G powerplants (2.0 and 2.5 liters), mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. Sometime in 2017, Mazda will add the 2.2-liter SkyActiv-D clean diesel for the fuel economy-minded buyer. I had the opportunity to test the oil-chugging powerplant in a Euro-spec CX-5 and, to its defense, it’s a thoroughly reasonable means of propulsion.

Rising Demand for SUVs Prompts Mazda to Ramp Up Production

Hence, the 2017 Mazda CX-3 is now manufactured by three assembly complexes in two countries as a response to the strengthening demand for crossovers and SUVs. By introducing the CX-3 to Hofu in Japan, Mazda also released the strain on Ujina, a plant which now operates at full capacity to bring the seven-seater CX-9 and the all-new CX-5 to dealership lots.

While we wait for the CX-5 to roll out into Japanese dealers this coming February, the CX-9 is a hit in the United States of America. Priced from $31,520 and available exclusively with the newly-introduced SkyActiv-G 2.5T, the CX-9 is the biggest Mazda sport utility vehicle in production today.
The CX-3, meanwhile, is the gateway to Mazda’s jacked-up range, with pricing kicking off at $19,960 in the U.S. Only one engine is available in the North American market, namely a SkyActiv-G 2.0-liter four-banger with 146 horsepower and 146 lb-ft of torque. The drivetrain, meanwhile, comes in front- and i-Activ AWD flavors, and with a 6-speed automatic tranny.

Over the pond in Europe, the CX-3 is available with either a 2.0-liter or the SkyActiv-D 1.5 turbo diesel. The latter drinks as little as 4.0 liters of fuel over the course of 100 kilometers on the NEDC combined cycle, a figure the naturally aspirated 2.0-liter engine could only dream of. Better still, it’s the torquiest engine of the whole lot, packing 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of oomph.

The all-new Mazda CX-5, meanwhile, slots between the CX-3 and CX-9. Slated to arrive in the U.S. and Europe by summer 2017, the second-generation model in Japan-spec form can be had with any of the following three engines: SkyActiv-G 2.0, SkyActiv-G 2.5, and the SkyActiv-D 2.2. In Japan, the SkyActiv-Drive 6-speed automatic is the sole cog swapper available.

2018 Volvo XC40 Described As Being “a Landmark for Volvo”

After Ford sold Volvo Autos to Chinese language company Geely Vehicle this year 2010, the Swedish automaker experienced sort of a renaissance. The change of ownership didn't affect Volvo's operations. Instead, the Chinese language infused the maker with cash, informed the higher-ups to up the ante with new models, still left Volvo in your thoughts its business then. The first fruit of Geely-owned Volvo is the second-gen XC90, which really is a magnificent mid-size SUV.

Following the XC90, the Swedish automaker facelifted the V40 hatchback, debuted the S90 sedan then, V90 train station wagon, and V90 CROSS-COUNTRY. Next year, Volvo shall continue its offensive with the second-generation X60, a compact-sized SUV which has been snapped in prototype form only just lately.

Slated to be predicated on the Scalable Product Structures that underpins the 90 Series also, the all-new XC60 will be accompanied by the successors of the V60 and S60. Be that as it might, Volvo hasn't forgotten that the 40 Series is at dire need to getting refreshed. In this respect, the maker is growing an all-new system dubbed Small Modular Structures. Previewed by the 40.1 Notion, the first creation style of the next-gen 40 Series comes into play the proper execution of the XC40 small crossover, which arrives in early on 2018.

This confirmation originates from Peter Mertens, Volvo's R&D supervisor, who got a speak to Autocar at the 2016 Paris Motor unit Show. Identified by Mr. Mertens as "a landmark for Volvo," the XC40 will be combined with an all-new technology of the V40 hatchback and an all-new S40 sedan. Your choice to unveiling the 2018 Volvo XC40 compact-sized crossover right in advance comes because of customer transfer to crossovers and sport energy vehicles.

Nisan Note supermini MPV Rendering

The Nisan Note supermini MPV is still not good to drive. Independent tests have seen up to 20 seconds in 0 to 60 mph sprints. Most buyers don't care about going fast, but we do, and it's a real shame when they have all that Renaultsport expertise not to do something.

Juke, March (Micra), 370Z, culminating with the GT-R. There's also been a Sentra-based Nismo concept, but we think the Nisan Note supermini MPV needs the hot treatment much more.

Since the automaker has made so many Nismos, we pretty much know how one should look already. Hungarian renderer X-Tomi had no problem taking the Note and making it hot. He added side skirts, lower bumpers and a black grille, plus larger alloys and red door mirrors.

the Micra, which is related to this car, didn't get any more power in becoming a Nismo car. It seems they will only tune an existing engine, not install a new one. So, US-spec cars will have to make due with a 109 hp 1.6-liter, which is probably not tunable while the European ones will have the 1.2-liter DIG-S

Ferrari F70 Enzo will took place in 2013 Geneva Motor Show

The Ferrari F70 Enzo will took place in 2013 Geneva Motor Show, And today we bring the photo teaser before the the successor coming in. Evern Milan has created a very plausible-looking front end Ferrari F70 Enzo rendering.

with both these renderings, the various sets of spyshots we have seen and Ferrari’s relatively constant styling language for its latest offerings, we already have a pretty good idea what the Ferrari F70 Enzo will actually look like. It will most likely build on the general shape of the Ferrari 458 Italia, and will feature the same elongated LED strips inside the headlights. Also, Ferrari F70 Enzo will not be any bigger than the Ferrari 458, and it will undoubtedly retain its smaller sibling’s overall profile and general shape. If this rendering proves to be accurate, then it is safe to say the Ferrari F70 Enzo will be quite a looker.
